Nala’atsi is a school based in Courtenay, British Columbia for students with Indigenous ancestry in grades 10 to 12. It is a 10 month program that provides individualized support for students whose needs have not been met in a mainstream classroom setting. Nala’atsi aims to give students a sense of community and belonging, a safe and compassionate learning environment, as well as access to a variety of exciting cultural activities within the community and beyond.

Please pick up an admissions package at the Indigenous Education Center (665 – 16th St, Courtenay BC) Monday-Friday between 9am and 3pm OR print & fill out the Nala’atsi Application Package and drop it off with Sue Cambrey at the Indigenous Education Center. Nala’atsi is committed to providing students with a learning environment that is safe and inclusive. We ask that students and staff wear clothing that allows them to participate in the intended activities. We also expect our staff & students to avoid wearing clothing that promotes drugs or alcohol, displays offensive language/images, or encourages discrimination.
